FAMILY CHRISTMAS {kaisercraft & merly impressions}

hello scrappy friends!

it is almost the end of the month and i would like to share my third and last layout i created for MERLY IMPRESSIONS' blog. and of course i used the amazing KAISERCRAFT’s SILVER BELLS collection (available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store).

for this layout i chose to work with a picture of all of us at CHRISTMAS -

"CHRISTMAS CHEER"

for my background i used KAISERCRAFT ballet weave cardstock, KAISERCARD coconut weave cardstock and MERRY CHRISTMAS pattern paper. i cut off 0.5 cm from each side of the coconut cardstock, ruffled its edges with PAPER DISTRESSER and adhered it to the ballet cardstock using KAISERCRAFT 12mm double-sided tape. then i sprinkled KAISERMIST spray ink – turquoise and put it away to dry.

then i took the MERRY CHRISTMAS pattern paper and cut off 1.5 cm from both of its sides, ruffled its edges with the PAPER DISTRESSER and added the snowflake-like dimensional layer using CHRISTMAS QUARTERS 12×12 stencil – the snowflakes square and TEXTURE PASTE. after the paste has dried i sprayed KAISERMIST spray ink – turquoise and red on top and adhered the pattern paper on top of the cardstock base.

i added a blue sticker edge from the 12″ STICKER sheet to finish my background design.

then i measured the WREATH die-cut paper and cut off the excessive parts so it would fit in one of the corners. to adhered it i used MOUNTING foam tape

for the layers under my picture i used KAISERCARD coconut weave cardstock for the first one and different patter papers and die cut borders from the mini PAPER PAD and the COLLECTABLES pack. i adhered them together using MOUNTING foam tape
the title banners are from the COLLECTABLES pack and the 12″ STICKER sheet.

to decorate the die cut embellishments i used RHINESTONES – soft pink.

as a finishing touch i added some more pink and blue foil baubles from the FOIL BAUBLES pattern paper and from the pattern paper mini PAPER PAD. i embossed them slightly and adhered them to my layout with MOUNTING foam tape

to “hang” the baubles i used RHINESTONE strips – pink and RHINESTONE strips – ice.

i hope i managed to inspire you today!

and don’t forget to come by in a few days as i'm going to announce the newest KAISERCRAFT release {which will be available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store}!

for my background i used white cardstock, which i stamped with HCPC3323 large elegant word background cling stamp set and embossing ink. then i heat embossed the image with gold embossing powder and coloured the cardstock with a mix of TIM HOLTZ distress ink TEA DYE and OLD PAPER.

i stamped the candle {HCPC3681 sparkling poinsettia candle cling stamp set} on white cardstock, coloured the flame and the poinsettias with TIM HOLTZ distress ink pads - WORN LIPSTICK, FIRED BRICK, SQUEEZED LEMONADE and PEELED PAINT and fussy cut the image.

the greenish leafy swirls i stamped with HCPC3682 sparkling poinsettia swirl cling stamp set and embossing ink, heat embossed with gold embossing powder and fussy cut the swirls. then i coloured them with TIM HOLTZ peeled paint distress ink.

A SPECIAL GIFT {kaisercraft & merly impressions}

hello crafty peeps!

today it is my turn over at MERLY IMPRESSIONS' blog and i would like to share my newest project with you. i used KAISERCRAFT’s Silver Bells collection {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS online store} and this time i chose a silvery-pink colour palette!

"A SPECIAL GIFT"

to create my background i used KAISERCARD steel weave cardstock, which i altered with an edge stamp from the BLUBELLE clear stamps set and mini ink pad – PETAL PINK. for the second layer i used FROSTY pattern paper. i cut off 0.5 cm from each side of the pattern paper, ruffled the edges using PAPER DISTRESSER, hand-stitched the pinkish border and rolled up one of the corners. then i adhered the pattern paper to the steel cardstock using KAISERCRAFT 12mm double-sided tape

for the snowflake-like dimensional layer on top of the pattern paper, i used CHRISTMAS QUARTERS 12×12 stencil – the snowflakes square and TEXTURE PASTE. after the paste has dried i sprayed KAISERMIST spray ink – pink and red on top of all the layers.

for the layers under my picture i used COCONUT weave cardstock for the first one and different patter papers and die cut borders from the mini PAPER PAD and the COLLECTABLES pack. I adhered the different layers with MOUNTING foam tape and decorated the grey border with RHINESTONES – soft pink.

the title and subtitles are from the 12″ STICKER sheet

… and a sticker from the clear sticker sheet – SEASONS GREETINGS.

i fussy cut some more pink and grey foil baubles from the FOIL BAUBLES pattern paper and from the paper with the same pattern from the mini PAPER PAD, embossed them slightly and adhered them with MOUNTING foam tape to my page. to “hang” them i used RHINESTONE STRIPS – pink.

i die cut the snowflakes using COCONUT weave cardstock and decorative die – SNOWFLAKE.

to finish off my design i decorated my picture with die cuts from the mini PAPER PAD and the COLLECTABLES pack.

THANK YOU for stopping by today!

have a wonderful creative weekend!
