HEARTFELT CREATIONS alumni designers DECEMBER blog hop

hello HEARTFELT CREATIONS friends!

and WELCOME to the HEARTFELT CREATIONS alumni designers DECEMBER blog hop!

i'm not sure if you've heard the sad news about PENNY O'DELL. she passed away earlier this month and we {the HEARTFELT CREATIONS alumni designers} decided to dedicate this blog hop to her memory!

it has been raining for a whole week in HOLLAND... the weather is cold and windy and i'm beginning to miss SPRING. but since i can't bring it faster, all i can do is craft spring and sunny projects and hope that the winter won't be too long.

so, today's HEARTFELT CREATIONS inspirational project from me is a glittery spring card, full with blossoms and little birdies -

HEARTFELT CREATIONS products used:
HCPC3646 fluffy birdies cling stamp set
HCPC3644 birds and blooms cling stamp set
HCD1-756 birds and blooms die
HCST1-401 deluxe flower shaping kit
double dots 100pc. -3D foam squares

here are some close ups from my project -

i used white card base, which i altered with TIM HOLTZ distress ink pad "WORN LIPSTICK". the second layer is made of silver cardstock - i ruffled its edges and adhered it to the card base using mourning foam tape.

i die cut two large ovals using SPELLBINDERS oval majesty die. i distressed the edges of the first one with TIM HOLTZ distress ink pad "WILD HONEY", cut it in two and adhered it to my card. then i coloured the middle part of the second with TUMBLED GLASS distress ink pad, added STICKLES glitter glue to its edge and adhered it on top of the first die cut oval.

i stamped the birds on a branch image from HCPC3646 fluffy birdies cling stamp set and the three birds from HCPC3644 birds and blooms cling stamp set with embossing ink and heat embossed them using silver powder. i die cut some of the images with HCD1-756 birds and blooms die and the rest i fussy cut by hand. to colour the stamped images i used TIM HOLTZ distress ink pads "WORN LIPSTICK", "WILD HONEY", "PEELED PAINT", "TEA DYE" and "TUMBLED GLASS". then i slightly embossed the coloured images using HCST1-401 deluxe flower shaping kit and adhered them to my background with double dots 100pc. -3D foam squares.

to finish off my design i added while pearls and pink ribbon bows.

i hope i managed to inspire you today!

our SEASIDE escape {KAISERCRAFT & MERLY IMPRESSIONS}

hello KAISERCRAFT fans,

with 2016 just around the corner, i'm sure that you are all busy with your family and friends, preparing for the NEW YEAR'S EVE and the coming year. so, this will be a very quick post about my last {for this year} project for MERLY IMPRESIONS' blog using KAISERCRAFT’s “SAIL AWAY” collection.

"OUR SEASIDE ESCAPE"

for my background i used KAISERCARD NAVY weave cardstock and ANCHOR pattern paper. i cut off 0.5cm from each side of the pattern paper, rolled up one of its corners and adhered it to the cardstock using KAISERCRAFT 12mm double-sided tape

to cover up the cardstock in the corner i used a die cut from the COLLECTABLES pack matching the collection.

to create the dimensional layer with clouds i used a masking template and TEXTURE PASTE. after the PASTE has dried, i weaved NATURAL STRING through the COMPASS die-cut paper and adhered it MOUNTING FOAM TAPE to my background.

i ruffled the edges of my picture and matted it on KAISERCARD COCONUT weave cardstock. then i adhered it on top of the COMPASS die-cut paper using MOUNTING FOAM TAPE.

to decorate mt page i used die cut elements from the SAIL AWAY mini paper pad, the COLLECTABLES pack…

…and stickers from the 12″ STICKER SHEET, which i embellished with RHINESTONES – DARK BLUE and RHINESTONES – RED

to outline the sticker saying i used GELLY ROLL PEN medium point – WHITE

and finally, for my title i used an ATC card from the CRUISE pattern paper, which i altered with stickers from the 12″ STICKER SHEET and RHINESTONES – DARK BLUE and RED.

here is a list with all products available at MERLY IMRPESSIONS' online store:

i hope i managed to inspire you today!

INDIGOBLU december challenge "all that sparkles"

hello crafty friends!

it's 21st of december and as usual there is a new challenge at INDIGOBLU challenge blog! it is almost the end of the year and as we celebrate the NEW YEAR with fireworks and champagne, we thought "ALL THAT SPARKLES" for a theme will match this mood perfectly! all you to do is create a card / layout / mixed media project, using INDIGOBLU stamps

here is a bit of inspiration from me -

to create this card i used the following INDIGOBLU products -

MERRY CHRISTMAS TREE A6 red rubber stamp

*****

and here are some more close ups:

i used silver card base for my project. then i stamped the tree image, on white cardstock, using  MERRY CHRISTMAS TREE A6 red rubber stamp with TIM HOLTZ watermark ink, applied STAMPENDOUS! aged silver embossing enamel and heated the set.

to colour the background i used various TIM HOLTZ distress ink pads - PEELED PAINT {for the tree}, DRIED MARIGOLD and SQUEEZED LEMONADE {around the star}, OLD PAPER, TUMBLED GLASS and BROKEN CHINA {for the frame around}.

i stamped the sentiment on a separate piece of cardstock, heat embossed it and coloured it with TIM HOLTZ broken china distress ink. then i adhered it to my card using mounting foam tape.

to finish off my design i added silver rhinestones to some of the snowflakes.

i hope you enjoyed my post today!

DECEMBER cards galore with DIE-VERSIONS

hello crafty friends!

with just a few days left until CHRISTMAS i'm definitely in a holiday mood! today i would like to share some of the CHRISTMAS cards i designed this year, using the wonderful dies from DIE-VERSIONS.

"A MERRY CHRISTMAS"

to create this card i used a bit older DIE-VERSIONS' christmas die, but what can i tell - i really love the flying SANTA!

i used two different DIE-VERSIONS' dies: whispers - SANTA's RAINDEERS
and sweet frames - SMILE. the vintage image is from a book with CHRISTMAS card toppings, i just added glitter to it.

here are a few more close ups:

"'TIS THE SEASON"

to create this card i used KAISERCRAFT silver bells collection {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS' online store}, white and silver cardstock and DIE-VERSIONS dies.

i used WHISPERS delicate snowflake die to create the "frame" around my CHRISTMAS image. i divided the snowflake in four parts and adhered it under the picture with mounting foam tape.

for my sentiment i used red cardstock and SWEET WORDLETS " 'tis the season" die.

to finish off my design i added a silver ribbon bow.

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!

LOOK at THAT {KAISERCRAFT & MERLY IMPRESSIONS}

hello crafty peeps,

i would like to share my latest layout with you today. to create this one i used KAISERCRAFT’s “sail away” collection {available at MERLY IMPRESSIONS' online store} -

"LOOK at THAT"

for my background i used KAISERCARD navy weave cardstock and MAP pattern paper. i cut off 0.5cm from each side of the pattern paper and adhered it to the cardstock using KAISERCRAFT 12mm double-sided tape. i stamped the rope at the corners using the CLEAR STAMP set and ADIRONDACK paint dabber – SILVER.

i used a masking template and TEXTURE PASTE to create the circle pattern and then i sprinkled TIM HOLTZ mixatives alcohol silver ink on top.

for the layers under my picture i used KAISERCARD navy weave cardstock, which i embossed with embossing folder, 6×4 – ANCHORS. then i matted my picture on KAISERCARD coconut weave cardstock and fussy cut the rope frame from a glossy paper from the SAIL AWAY mini PAPER PAD. to adhere the layers to the background i used mounting foam tape

i used die cuts from the the mini PAPER PAD and the COLLECTABLES pack and stickers from the 12″ STICKER SHEET to embellish my layout.

to create the banner i used die cuts from the COLLECTABLES pack, tags from the mini PAPER PAD and fussy cut sayings from pattern paper. i decorated the various die cuts with rhinestones – DARK BLUE and RED

i hope you enjoyed my post today!

THANK YOU for stopping by!

until FRIDAY when i'll have a brand new project to share with you!

 hugs 'n smiles,
