sparkling spring {sparkle n sprinkle}

hello scrappy friends!

i've got a very sparkly layout to share with you today!

"SPARKLING SPRING"

i really love how this page turned out! i wasn’t really sure about the color combo at the beginning, but the amazing SPARKLE N SPRINKLE glitters and embossing powders never let me down!

 i started with a white cardstock, which i covered with metallic paint platinum color. after the paint was dry i added the butterfly pattern, using a masking template and modelling paste. before lifting the mask, i carefully rubbed different colours glitter onto the butterflies.

i used SNS carnation [G1028], shell pink [G1022] and lacy lilac [G1033] glitters.

after the modelling paste was dry, i started assembling my design. i added the chipboard title. i used chipboard letters with a pattern, which i covered with shell pink [G1022] glitter. that's the brilliant thing about glitter - you can use any type of letters or embellishments, any pattern, any colour, and all you need is a glue pen and your favourite glitter!

 i also did a bit of stamping to decorate my background. i used the lovely #496 bird song stamp set and two shades of brown ink.

 all of the flowers on this layout are hand-made. first, i die cut a lot of different sized blossoms using white tissue paper and SPELLBINDERS "rose creations" die. then, i adhered four blossoms of each size on top of each other to create the flowers. after all the layers were glued together, i crumbled the petals and rubbed VERSAMARK watermark ink randomly on the petals. before the ink was dry, i dipped the blossoms in embossing powder {cotton candy [EP121] and princess rose [EP387]} and heat embossed them. and the best part is that when the embossing powder cools down, it prevents the flowers from getting flat and floppy.

to finish off my flowers i added silver pearls in the middle.

tTo embellish my page i used various MARIANNE DESIGN leafy dies and cardstock – silver, pink and pattern paper.

 i added silver pearls to my background as well.

 here is a list with all the SNS products, i used on this layout:

i hope i managed to inspire you today!
have a lovely weekend!

hugs 'n smiles,
