a joyful heart {merly impressions + kaisercraft}

hello scrappy friends!

today, i would like to share one more layout i created with the amazing KAISERCRAFT "curiosity" collection

"A JOYFUL HEART"

to create my background i layered the peculiar double sided paper with its light side up onto the unique pattern paper. i distressed the edges of the upper layer and altered it with KAISERCOLOR red acrylic paint and modeling paste using a TIM HOLTZ rays layering stencil and a PRIMA marketing doily mask.

to embellish my page i used the COLLECTABLES pack from the same collection...

... paper roses and stamped images.

for my banner i used paper strips from the PECULIAR pattern paper, different images from the COLLECTABLES pack and paper flowers.

for my subtitle i used stamped strips of paper. i used the clear stamps from the curiosity collection.

my title was inspired from a saying on one of the ATC cards from the UNUSUAL pattern paper.

here is a list with all the products i used on my layout:

home is... {merly impressions}

hello scrappy friends!

as many of you know, there is a monthly challenge going on at MERLY IMPRESSIONS. this month's theme is "HOME - what is mean to me" and here is my interpretation -

"HOME IS..."

i decided to do a double-pager for this challenge, because i could never explain what HOME means to me in one page.

to create my layout i used the "CURIOSITY" collection from KAISERCRAFT.

for the first page i used KAISERCRAFT vanilla weave cardstock and different pattern papers from the CURIOSITY collection

the large background doily i made with WE R MEMORY KEEPERS lucky 8 punch, eccentric pattern paper and licorice weave cardstock. i spattered some red glimmer mist and added red rhinestones to give an artsy effect to my background.

for the banner i used stickers from the curiosity collection sticker sheet and the die cut key is from the COLLECTABLES pack from the same paper line.

the letters for my title i made from cardstock, using MAKING MEMORIES' foam stamps alphabet and KAISERCOLOUR paint - red. after the paint has dried, i fussy cut the letters and adhered them to my page with mounting foam type

the words for my jouranlling i fussy cut from the pattern paper.

to embellish my layout i used fussy cut elements from pattern papers, die cut flourishes, paper roses and cardstock images from the COLLECTABLES pack.

the chipboard key is altered with black embossing powder.

i decided to design the second page in PROJECT LIFE style. and the CURIOSITY collection has the perfect designs for it. i used the KAISERCRAFT d ring multi pocket pages for my layout.

to create my 4 x 6" and 3 x 4" cards i used the RARE and the UNUSUAL pattern papers.

i inked the edges, decorated then with pretty pictures and wrote my own journalling on my tailor-made cards.

the collection is so easy to work with - you can mix and match pictures, papers and embellishments in any way you like!

here is a list with the KAISERCRAFT products i used on this layout:

i hope you enjoyed today's post!

and don't forget - you have until november 12th to join the MERLY IMPRESSIONS october "home - what is means to me" challenge!
